Hi, I'm Jon Gunzel and welcome to your next challenge!
Today your challenge is to overcome a small fear. Look back at the earlier challenge where you threw something away. How do you feel about it now? Do you miss it or did you find another way to be successful without it? Were you able to overcome your fear? Today's challenge is all about overcoming a small fear.
An example of a fear could be enrolling in a class you've always wanted to take but were afraid to commit to. Or apologizing to someone you may have wronged. Accepting an invitation to an event you would usually pass on.
We all face fears every day in our lives, but all to often those fears turn in to excuese that keep us from having the life we really want. We always have a choice, we can make excuses, or we can make progress.
So the way I get over my fears involves 1 simple step. I look at it. That's right I just stop what I'm doing and look at the fear. I may have to write it down or take a picture of it, but I just stare at it and think about it until I see what I'm really afraid of. Once i see the Actual thing I'm afraid of, the fear almost magically goes away. Sometimes the fear is a couple layers deep, but if I look at the problem long enough I can usally see the fear and how to solve it.
So again, Today's challenge is to overcome a small fear.
Keep recording your success in your journal and I'll see you tomorrow for the next challenge.
