Lesson 2.2 - Come On Baby, Light My Fire! | Click To Read More . . .

Hi I'm Trina Gunzel and welcome to the next lesson in the Stories to Success System.

In this lesson, you're going to learn to identify the qualities and needs of your Ideal Client and see how that allows you to create your products and marketing on a personal level.

{S2S Intro Splash}

When you know who your Ideal Client is, it makes it so much easier to design and create your programs and also to say no to opportunities that will divide your time, attention and talents.  For example, when Jon and I were running our photography business together, at first, we were just taking any photographs people asked us to because we figured, hey, the more work the better right?

Then, as our business really started to grow, we realized we loved taking high school senior pictures, family portraits, professional business portraits, and wedding photography.  That was still a broad range, but working for people who desired professional portraits was our favorite.

As we started to dial in that our ideal client respected professional work, was grateful, wanted our style, and allowed my husband to have his creative but signature touch, we were able to say no to calls requesting middle of the night blooming cactus photography (I'm not kidding), intimate Valentine gift pictures (not really our style), and anything that turned into large group production type photography.

Because we were able to specialize, we didn't have to do all of the photography work anymore and could really just focus in on who we wanted to work with that loved our work.  It made the experience so much more enjoyable.

So, the big idea for this lesson is focus on who you WANT to work with.  You don't have to be mistreated and abused by people who don't WANT what YOU have to offer.  You will have more energy and your creativity and production will flow and increase if you double down on creating and serving those clients who align with what you have to offer.

There are enough people in the world to allow yourself to be picky here.  You will attract your ideal clients when you really know WHO you want to serve and build relationships with.  Really,  have fun with this.   Think about what really lights you up and who you want to share your light, your gifts and talents, with.  Figure that out and you're going to be on fire with energy and passion in your work!

For us, when we designed the 50 Days of Success Challenge, we knew we wanted to help people who have a positive attitude, who want to improve themselves, who feel like they have more to offer, and who want to be in a supportive and encouraging environment sharing and stacking daily wins.

Even though it's a completely FREE challenge, we are very protective of our community and if someone joins who is not following the rules or is being negative in the group, we try to communicate the rules again and give them a chance, but if they are not positively adding and are a negative influence, we don't allow them to continue in the challenge.

Because we know who we want to work with and are clear about it, we are serving at a personal level and growing a  positive community of leaders who are making a ripple effect of growth, service, and being empowered helping others.

The action steps for this lesson are:

  1. Take some time today to think about who you really want to work with.
  2. Complete the Ideal Client Creator to really dial that in and help with designing your products.

As you get really clear on exactly who you want to work with, you'll be able to expand this into building your products and designing your marketing later, to attract your ideal client.

In the next lesson you'll be picking the EXACT real person you will build your products and marketing for so get ready for that!

Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see you in the next lesson.
